The engagement from speakers and participants alike was great during the actual sessions. As our rapporteur Isabelle Schwartz commented on the Friday morning “The number of people who where here yesterday, was not possible 7 years ago. I am very encouraged by your presence and the quality of contributions of yesterday.”
Feel free to join in and comment on any of the sessions (Swedish is ok!).

3-4 December, the Orion Theatre, Stockholm
International conference on the inter-relations between local, regional, national and European culture policy making.

We explored the relations between various levels of cultural policy making: European, national, regional and local. How are they inter-connected? Who takes care of what? What policies are necessary at the various levels in order to coordinate and harmonize cultural policy for the benefit of target audiences, cultural operators and artists organisations?

Representatives from all four levels, from Sweden and other EU countries participated in encounters.

Arranged by Intercult in collaboration with Culture Action Europe.
A part of the Swedish EU presidency. With generous support from Kutlurrådet/The Swedish Art Council
